Before you can even start RolePlaying; You have to know what a RolePlay is. RolePlay is exactly what the word says. A RolePlay is where people(you) take on the roles of other people in a fictional setting.
Step 1: What are you RolePlaying?
Before you can even start RolePlaying, you need to know a few key things. Like when does the RolePlay take place; What is the plot of the roleplay. A roleplay can take place in a city under the waves, or on Mars. Now for the Plot. The plot doesn't have to be that long, or well thought out (though the longer the better) but, it gives the rp something to work for, something to keep the story moving. It can be a A princess being kidnapped, or as complex as the world is a giant puzzle and you have to put it back together, leading the world to extinction via a world war, ect.. The better the plot is, the more interested people will be in the RolePlay.
Step 2: Who are you
You have a story, a plot, and a setting, but who are you? You character is a representation of you. They can be who you always wanted to be in life, or just like yourself. There 'living' people, give them a emotions. The trick is to make a believable person. You dont want to be Roleplaying in the medival times, and have a character with a IPad and a IPod Touch. You get my point. What you NEVER do in a Rp is GodModding.
Godmodding
This is the worse. Godmodding basically is; Say its the end of a Rp. Everyone agrees that your all gunna be poisoned, and someone will cure you in the next part. Then out of Nowhere at the end, one kid goes, I'm immune to poison. Here is a better example. "Nour shot Devil in the chest killing him instantly." 2 Problems: One she killed another person character, and Two: She didnt give him a chance. A better thing to say would be: "Nour shot Devil in the chest;hoping she killed him."
That one gives devil a chance. Maybe he could respnd saying: "Devil screamed for help before he passed out" or "Devil called the 911 before he passed out". Makes it more realistic.
Humans are not birds.
Title says all. You cant just say" Devil sprouts wing's and flies into the sunset" ._.
One Liners, Why oh Why
Best Way to put this. I write 2-3 paragraph's about my self, and a kid comes and replies: Sucks to be you. I'm not saying write 2-3 paragraphs. 1 Paragragh is fine just.... for the dear love of cookies, don't post a single sentence!
How to post
How you post in an RP matters as well. I'm sure most of you already know this.Posts are to be written in paragraph form, preferably in third person (no using 'I' unless you are talking.)
Just some pointers
- One Character per member.
- Each character can choose a deck type.
- Banned cards cannot be used in decks.
- You can make your own custom deck type, but it must be approved as well and you must then explain how the cards relate to it.
- You must send your deck list and type to a RolePlay mod for approval
- All Role-playing posts must be longer than 50 words. (Not that much if u actually care for the RP)
- Duels are to be done on DN. (Post winner;Send a rp mod a pic or have a rp mod suprivise duel.
- Role-playing Moderators can remove posts that break rules or show someone trying to take over a storyline that does not involve them as much..
- What happens in the Role-playing section stays in the role-playing section, do not drag it out into the rest of CSA or your post will be removed and you will be warned.
- All Roleplay duels are single duels.
- DO NOT GOD POST.
